I’ve been a teacher for 21 years and I’ve worked at Malvern International since January 2014. I’ve taught all levels from beginners to advanced and have a particular interest in grammar and pronunciation. In addition to Malvern Online Academy, I do a lot of the social activities at the Malvern House in London, including weekend trips. I love travelling in my free time so it’s great that I can combine my job with my hobby.
I trained as an English teacher in 2009 and have taught in London and Japan. I also have a Master's Degree in Applied Theatre, and I enjoy using my drama experience for role plays and English language games. I enjoy teaching all levels and meeting people from all over the world.
Teaching really is my passion; that and travelling. So after having spent over twenty years working for the British government, I decided to focus all my energy on teaching students from all over the world. Sharing information and culture is a valuable way of learning about others. My job allows me to engage with students in a communicative and motivating way, making learning enjoyable while at the same time helping them achieve their goals. No two days are the same.
I trained as an English Language teacher in London in June 2010 and I have been teaching English ever since in a variety of international schools in London and the UK, before joining Malvern in July 2018. One of my favourite aspects of teaching English is the wide range of nationalities of the students, learning about their various cultures, and languages. Being trilingual in English, French and Spanish with an intermediate knowledge of German help me understand the learning needs of the students we teach here. Every day is unique at Malvern Online Academy. Feel free to ask me lots of questions about anything to do with English or the UK!
I have been teaching at Malvern for more than 12 years. It’s fabulous meeting students from all over the world at our college. An important part of my job is helping my students to speak and communicate more effectively and with confidence. Therefore, my lessons always have a strong focus on encouraging students to speak a lot while improving their vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy listening to music from around the world, I also have a passion for language (I also speak French, actually!).
Hello, I’m Chloe! I come from Northern England and I have taught English for many years now. At the moment I’m responsible for helping students who are beginners at English progress to a higher level. Outside of teaching I adore the theatre!
Hi, I’m Andy. I have been teaching English for around 20 years in various countries including France, Italy, China and Korea. Through studying some of these languages in language schools myself, I know how important it is to learn, develop and grow in a supportive, encouraging environment.
After completing a degree in English Studies I completed a Master's in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).I love working in such a multicultural environment because I feel that I’m learning as much from my students as they are from me! In my free time I enjoy going to music festivals and local gigs with my friends. Music is a great part of my life!
Hi, I’m James. Whilst taking part in the Erasmus exchange at University I discovered how passionate I was about language, and decided there and then that I wanted to be an English teacher. I love being creative and designing activities and materials that can be put to use in the classroom; I’ve always found it really rewarding to see students fully engaged and learning in a dynamic lesson. In my free time I like to play guitar and draw or paint.
Hello, I'm Rick. I have lived in Spain, Vietnam and Thailand. I love learning about new cultures, come and tell me about yours!
Hi I’m Anna, a teacher here Malvern Online. I’m CELTA qualified and have been teaching since 2016. Apart from teaching in the UK, I’ve taught in Colombia where I lived for 18 months. When I arrived in Colombia I could barely say ‘hello’ in Spanish, so I know what it can be like to navigate a new language and culture: challenging, but ultimately deeply rewarding.
