Our Teachers

Our team of teachers live all across the United Kingdom and ready to welcome to you to your online English lessons.

All of our teachers are fully qualified and experienced. Our teachers usually have a CELTA or DELTA (Certificate or Diploma in English Language Teaching).

Raquel: Manchester

After completing a degree in English Studies I completed a Master's in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I love working in such a multicultural environment because I feel that I’m learning as much from my students as they are from me! In my free time I enjoy going to music festivals and local gigs with my friends. Music is a great part of my life!

Steven: London

I’ve been a teacher for 21 years and I’ve worked at Malvern International since January 2014. I’ve taught all levels from beginners to advanced and have a particular interest in grammar and pronunciation. In addition to Malvern Online Academy, I do a lot of the social activities at the Malvern House in London, including weekend trips. I love travelling in my free time so it’s great that I can combine my job with my hobby.

Emma: Manchester

Hi there, I’m Emma and I am from Manchester. I studied Psychology at University, therefore, I like to use a person-centred focus when teaching. I moved to Spain in 2015 where I completed a CELTA in order to teach there. I love teaching IELTS and seeing students progress so they can achieve their dreams of studying in the UK. I think learning should be fun and interactive.

Michelle: London

I trained as an English teacher in 2009 and have taught in London and Japan. I also have a Master's Degree in Applied Theatre, and I enjoy using my drama experience for role plays and English language games. I enjoy teaching all levels and meeting people from all over the world.

Andy: Manchester

Hi, I’m Andy. I have been teaching English for around 20 years in various countries including France, Italy, China and Korea. Through studying some of these languages in language schools myself, I know how important it is to learn, develop and grow in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Yvonne: London

Teaching really is my passion; that and travelling. So after having spent over twenty years working for the British government, I decided to focus all my energy on teaching students from all over the world. Sharing information and culture is a valuable way of learning about others. My job allows me to engage with students in a communicative and motivating way, making learning enjoyable while at the same time helping them achieve their goals. No two days are the same.

James: Manchester

Hi, I’m James. Whilst taking part in the Erasmus exchange at University I discovered how passionate I was about language, and decided there and then that I wanted to be an English teacher. I love being creative and designing activities and materials that can be put to use in the classroom; I’ve always found it really rewarding to see students fully engaged and learning in a dynamic lesson. In my free time I like to play guitar and draw or paint.

Bee: London

I have been an English foreign language teacher for over 25 years! Being a teacher is a fantastic gift, it allows you to open the door to meeting people from different countries and cultures. As a result, I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to travel far and wide and teach and meet many people from different countries like Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay, Italy, Spain, France, and of course, the UK. After obtaining the DELTA, I then trained to become a CELTA teacher trainer and have enjoyed aiding people to become English language teachers ever since! I joined the team here at Malvern House London in September 2017 and have enjoyed immensely guiding students to improving and strengthening their English language skills and confidence from a vast variety of countries since then! In my free time, I also teach Italian, enjoy travelling off the beaten-track, playing the guitar and piano, and singing in local pubs and cafes around London.

Jeff: London

I have been teaching at Malvern for more than 12 years. It’s fabulous meeting students from all over the world at our college. An important part of my job is helping my students to speak and communicate more effectively and with confidence. Therefore, my lessons always have a strong focus on encouraging students to speak a lot while improving their vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy listening to music from around the world, I also have a passion for language (I also speak French, actually!).

Chloe: London

Hello, I’m Chloe! I come from Northern England and I have taught English for many years now. At the moment I’m responsible for helping students who are beginners at English progress to a higher level. Outside of teaching I adore the theatre!
